Hello everyone,

Recently while working on the Supremacy template, I noticed that at the bottom of the template at the footer, there is text which says:

"My company copyright...."

and right under it, it says,

"Joomla! is Free Software released under the GNU/GPL License."

I was wondering how to edit the text at the footer and maybe be able to add a small image at the bottom. Like an icon, or such.

Hi Sally8

There are lots of different ways to edit the footer that are all part of the Joomla core.

You can Go to:
/public_html/yoursite/language/
then edit: english.php

Find the text and edit accordingly.

Or you can open up /public_html/yoursite/includes/footer.php
and add or rearrange anything you want in there, including adding images or whatever you want.

I went through joomlaXplorer and went into the files that you told me to go into.

Unfortunately I couldnt find anything that said "Joomla! is Free Software released under the GNU/GPL License."

Should I take a screenshot of my page to show you where it's at and what exactly I'm talking about? or is there alternate ways to fix this problem other than going through the files.

Only if you install joomlaxplorer or some sort of component to allow you to edit core files.

By default, no, ftp is the easiest.

In the footer.php file there is a call to version.php. Inside version.php is the exact bit you are looking for.
