can't publish to inset positions 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi, it's ashame all the old forums posts have gone since I'm sure this question would have already been resolved.

Nothing will publish to the inset positions in the template. The module position is in the template file and can be seen using your trickery (?tp=1) http://www.triple-x.com.au/?tp=1, so why won't anything publish to it?

I made a fresh install on my local machine to see if it was due to any of my template modifications but I get the same problem.

I've tried 'bot' '-bot' 'top' '-top' in the 'module class suffix' in the module admin but still no joy?

Can anyone help?

thanks
mark

Hi Mark,
I think thats covered in the templates guide (will double check though), but you need to create the module position "inset-top", as it does not exist in Joomla! by default (only inset does). If you need some assistance in creating a module position, don't hesitate to give us a shout
Cheers,
Chris

hi Chris, thanks for your reply, I have tried following the instructions here http://www.joomlajunkie.com/help/guides/supremacy.html but it doesn't say much about it. Please help if you can, thanks again

Hi Mark,
Sorry about that - we are in the process of refining our guides and the module position notes seem to have gone MIA in the move.

To add new module positions, in your joomla backend (from the top menu), go "site > template manager module positions". From there you will be able to add the "inset-top" and "inset-bot" module positions required for the template..

Let me know if you get stuck!

Cheers,
Chris
