JW SIR - positioning 3 Months ago Karma: 2
Hi all

And thanks Matt for helping me get on here.

I have the Joomlaworks SIR installed and operating with Joomla! 1.5.6 and Snappa 1.5.

However, unlike the great Snappa demo we've all seen, I have whitespace all around the rotator app irrespective of how big I make the images to fill it.

Could someone please point me towards a file to edit or somewhere in Joomla! to edit how the module fits into the User1 space, so that I can fit it snugly without whitespace.

Current issue can be seen here: www.hosthaste.net/aff

Hope I'm explaining that well enough. It's kind of like removing cellpadding/spacing from a table tag.

Thanks
J

Hey JWB.

Have you edited the width in the SIR module? I know that has settings in it to adjust width and height. I see the image is bigger, but if the SIR module is small that might be your issue.

Also have you updated to the new version of snappa? We released it just this week. Its not a common issue but it never hurts to have the newest stuff.

Hi Matt

Yes I played with the width attribute in SIR and indeed it CAN push the image towards the sides but there is always whitespace on the left hand side, top and bottom. Oddly enough pushing the width attribute further can eliminate on the right.

I have Snappa 1.5 - Revision 1, is that the latest?

Thanks.

Hi again Matt

Rick kindly offered a suggestion that maybe it was in the SIR stylesheet, but alas no.

So it looks like it's in snappa or joomla itself.

I just put the SIR in User1. That's correct right?

Maybe the person who did your demo has already tackled this?

Thanks
Warwick

Hi Matt

Thanks for Rick for isolating it.

It's actually in your structure.css file for Snappa!
www.hosthaste.net/aff

It's looking much better, but I still can't figure the top margin out. There's still that to go.

Any ideas please Matt?

Thanks
Warwick

Can you share how you got it fixed and what line number did you edited in the structure.css file?

I'm having the same problem. I have a big white space on the bottom.
