Child sub menus not showing up, please help. 2 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi, Thank you for a fantastic template! I've installed loads of Joomla sites, but for the life of me I can't get the child sub menus working on Snappa. I've read the template guide, and I see nothing out of the ordinary that you would do to create a normal submenu, The menu image shows a down arrow, but nothing happens on rollover, and if you click it can only take you to the parent item, What does my head in is it isn't showing on the other main menu in the left position either... Can someone let me know what to do to get it working?

I appreciate your help, thanks very much,

Msj_Uk

I really do hope someone can help me with this, I'm sure it's something simple but it's killing my development....would really appreciate a reply of some description. How come on such a great template there is only a choice of one type of menu? If it's causing me a problem has anyone else experieced any problems with the sub menus?

Thanks in advance,

Msj

Hi Msj_uk.

You need to post a url so we can look it over. It sounds like a script conflict. Do you have other components or effects installed?

Thats actually quite a list of things. Looking over the source you also have quite a few javascript libraries being called. Any one of them from JCE to even the image rotator have the potential to knock out your menus.
Your best course of action is to either work your way backwards removing components until you find the one that conflicts, or to setup a test install. Best idea is test install. You do a install with just the snappa template and test the menus after each component install. That way you can discover which one does not play well.

On a unrelated note, you need to consider putting a mute or stop button for the music in a noticeable area.

Let us know what you find out.

Blimey Matt, That's a 9 part drama...is there not a way to set a new menu that works? If superfish is so sensetive can we not put on a stable menu? I just want the site running without it taking forever, I may have to change the template for one that works. A pity, as I thought your templates were the best....hmmmmm?
