i am on joomla 1.5.3 and clicked on the login button on the upper right of the template.

it gave me "invalid token"

Did a little research and already made sure that the JUtilities line in the default.php is jHTML and also found a post re: the missing form.php in the mod_content directory.

None of these fixed my error.

Help with a fix? I think its not an issue with joomla core but rather something about this template. is there a quick patch or fix?

That template is not 1.5 ready, and 1.5 handles users differently. Easiest thing to do is change the link in the template index.php file.


look for the login link a short ways down past the <body> tag.

Change it from this:

<a href="index.php?option=com_login&task=login" title="login">login</a>


To this:
Code:
<a href="index.php?option=com_user&view=login" title="login">login</a>
