IE7 Layout Issues 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I have my site up and running fine (some Lgin issues yet to fix) in terms of layout, but it only looks right in Safari (3.1.2) and Firefox (2.0.0.16). When I fire up IE7 on my Thinkpad, the whole layout goes wacky and the image that comes up in the USER 2 Module (ImageSlideShow) is distorted.

Here are my questions...

1. What do I need to do so that the page looks that same in all three platforms. IE7 will be used 90 % of the time to access it, Safari about 2% of the time.

2. Is there a way to get rid of the space between the bottom of the User 2 module and the Superfish menu. If I set the USER 2 space as image, the space is not there.

The site address is www.alccobras.net

Thanks!

Scott

Hi ser0100

1 ) The template does look perfect in every browser. We toil over this for weeks sometimes to perfect it. You can see this by looking over our demo in the browsers you are having issues with. The slightest change sometimes can throw everything off unfortunately. I suggest you roll back each of your edits until you see what could have broken your formatting. My trick knee tells me it probably has lot to do with the header rotator.

2 ) Did you try the "both" option instead of module? the space you see is pading and it is needed so when people put text in the modules it does not hit the navigation.

3 ) Your image is probably due to IE not being able to handle .pngs wells. If your image size is not defined then it will do that. The best and simplest suggestion is to use a .jpg up there, it will be considerably smaller and not cause problems across browsers.
