JoomlaJunkie - Joomla Template Provider Bringing color to the Joomla community

I just made http://www.light-spring.com live, and the first comment I got was that Internet Explorer freezes on a number of pages. After investigating, I found out that anytime there's something in the left module position, IE freezes. This means you literally have to kill the process and restart.

This is obviously a major bug in IE, but it's responding to something in the CSS. I hate IE and work with Firefox, but I can't ignore it. It does the same thing for any module in the left position, even something as basic as the login module. Hence my conclusion that it's the CSS, and thus, the template.

Has anyone else experienced this?



PS. Is this forum Fireboard? I installed that under iFresh and it behaves weirdly. Doesn't look nearly as nice as here. For starters, this message box is incredibly small under iFresh.

I took a look at your site and cant find any pages where you have the sidebar published, so i am unable to check this. We have a good couple of hundred customers running ifresh and this is the first time we have heard of this happening, which can only lead me to assume that there must be an issue on your site (some kind of conflict that is causing the error). Can you publish the sidebar again so i can take a look?

Also, do you experience this issue on our ifresh demo in IE?

As for fireboard (yes that is what we are using), for ifresh we only did a bit of basic tweaking to get it fit in more with the template. For our site we went the extra mile to integrate it with our sites theme.

Sorry, I removed the left sidebar because I didn't want people's first association with the site to be one of wondering why their browser crashed.

Going there causes the IExplorer process to take all the CPU time of the box. It's IE 7.0.5730.13.



Regarding Fireboard, I'm still debating on whether to go phpbb, but you can see the forum at http://www.light-spring.com/index.p...ions-for-Channeling.html. The message box is very small. I could figure out the CSS for the message box myself, but I thought you might like to know that this happens with the CSS from iFresh.

I've just accessed our ifresh demo in IE8 (emulating as IE7) and its loading fine. I checked the forum demo as well am not able to replicate any of the issues you mentioned. Going to check a native IE7 machine now and will report back once i am done

Yes, well if it freezes browsers I don't really want it public! Without logging in and going to the link I don't get the letterman info, but I still get the left hand module and the freeze.

This has happened on 2 of my machines as well as visitors who complained. I'm imagining it wouldn't happen on IE on the mac, and would make sense it wouldn't happen on an emulation.
