This post does not refer to anything, so I am assuming you are referring to the suckerfish menu. If so, then why did you post another topic? This is part of another forum post already, there is no need to create a new thread.
The reason is the drop down working in firefox and not ie:
Firefox and other browsers can manage the menu drop down with css alone, but with internet explorer 6 it needs javascript to actually work.

sorry I did not ment to create new topic, I think there is something wrong with fireboard, it did that before, whats happening is that it allows to post reply even if I am not loged in and when I log in instead of taking me back to reply it takes me to new topic page, thats the reason, please remove this double post.

The reason why the suckerfish menu works in Firefox, Opera, Safari and IE7 is because all of those support hover on non anchor (_link_) elements. Its only IE6 that falls short on this, so the suckerfish js is just forcing IE6 to comply..
