No template? 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Hi, I purchased the Extreme Blogger Lite template 36 hours ago, and haven't received anything other than a receipt from 2checkout.com. I understand you take up to 24 hours to verify credit card purchases, but we've gone well past this and I'm sick of waiting.

Please send me my template or release the hold on my credit card.
Thanks.

Hi CK1 thanks for stopping.

I have resent you the download link that was setup for you, as well as sent it to you via my personal email. If you do not see anything I might suggest you check your junk mail or spam filters as that seems to be a common problem with some people.

Any more problems feel free to let us know.

Thanks for the prompt reply

On the subject of more problems...
I have a fresh install of Joomla 1.52 (installed using Fantastico); the first thing I do is install the template and I get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /xxxxx/xxxxx/xxxxx/templates/extreme_blogger_lite/menu/swmenu.php on line 5

Any ideas?

Did you attempt to install Joomla without the sample data? That can cause that.

Easy fix is to reinstall with the sample data.

the other easy fix is suggested by in another thread by a forum member Miso82
It you don't choose to install the Joomla example files during the instalation of Joomla,
then there is only one menu called "mainmenu".
By default the template has "topmenu" to show in the topbar...so ceteris paribus the menu won't show up and you will get the above discussed error.

The solution is easy: just to go in the Admin Backend to Extensions/Template Manager/ click on the template and on the right side adjust the parameter for menu name: to the wished menu....

Both should work for you.

Okay...
Install did include sample data.
Changing the menu name makes no difference either. Same error.

I installed Joomla 1.5.4 locally on my computer - and it works!
To rule out Fantastico being the problem I reinstalled Joomla 1.5.4 on my webhost without using Fantastico - but I still get the same error.

If I comment out the references to swmenu.php in the index.php file, the template works - except there is no top menu.

The difference between the install running locally and my webhost is locally I'm running PHP 5.0.45 and my webhost is running PHP 4.4.8
Is this the problem?

I've had a quick look around some of the other members posts and this problem seems to pop up quite a bit. Just to clarify, I'm not using GoDaddy and changing to PHP 5 is not an option.
