I'm terrible at math too. SO much so I never really bothered to try and figure it out.

So, did that work for you torinhill?

Not sure if you sent that to Chris or me. I have one I will be looking at Weds.
Also did you verify the php.ini change worked by checking your php config? My host and my MAMP both require some specific tweaking to get right and I would have never known if I didn't look.
(Joomla backend /system/system info/php info and search for memory limit)

Yeah...it's actually set to 64M which means my php.ini wasn't working, but since I didn't know how to check it in the first place, I didn't realize it was already more than what is recommended. I was just trying the fix to see if it helped. Anyway, I learned something new!

I sent my login credentials to Chris last week. My Tatami looked different undercomponents after I had given him the credentials, so I assumed someone was in there doing something. Now it looks like it did when I first installed, but I am assuming that is because I uninstalled and reinstalled after that.

I am rooting for you guys to figure it out. It is a cool template and I want to put it to use!

Thanks!

This template is dependent upon a lot of developers and of course some from a different company as well so timing is a bit harder for us to judge on this.

II can assure everybody that there is updated version in the works.

As a side note there have been 60+ downloads or so of Aurora. I would hazard a guess that the issues that are experienced here might be slightly related to variances in everybody's servers. Otherwise we would have 60 or so really mad people here yelling. Thanks for being so patient everybody.

I don't know if this will help in anyway but I thought I might as well bring it up.

I have been having trouble with this template with the following set up.

Mac OS X 10.5.2
MAMP 1.4 (and now 1.7) running PHP 5
Joomla 1.0.15
Aurora template and Tatami in place.

Until now I have not been able to get this template to work with this set up.

Step 1. Out of curiosity I set up a PC with WAMP 2 on Windows XP and then I packed up the site I was working on and transported to the new machine and still nothing.

Step 2. Fresh joomla install, then Tatami, then the template. It works.

Step 3. Pack working site, transfer back to the mac, it works.

Step 4. Try to delete Aurora from old non working site and I get an error telling me that I am not authorised to view this resource.

Step 5. Install Blogger Lite. Something wasn't right with the top menu so I try to delete that too, same error message telling me I am not authorised to view this resource.

Step 6. Change all file permissions to 777. Still can't delete any templates.

Step 7. Install JJ Absolute, still can't delete any templates.

Step 8. Install Blogger in site with working Aurora and can delete template.

Step 9. Fresh site install on Mac. Install Tatami first, then Aurora template. It works.

I can honestly say I don't really know what all of this means but it seems to me that somewhere in all of this file permissions seem to be playing a role as does the order in which you install the Tatami component and the Template.

Phew!

I hope that this will help someone, I'm not entirely sure how it will but at least my little journey to a working version of the template has been documented.

Okay, a bit more to add to this little saga.

I went back to the non-working site with all the templates that couldn't be deleted via template manager. I deleted all templates via JoomlaXplorer, removed Tatami and went through the component directories and checked to make sure that there were no residual files.

I then installed Tatami first, then the template. I then created a new backgrounds folder in the images folder. I changed all permissions of the background files to 777 and then copied the files into the new backgrounds folder.

I now have a working Aurora template with Tatami functionality.

I can only presume that the first install was either not done in the same order and that moving the files around as I did created some problematic file permissions.

Again, I hope someone finds this useful.
