Suckerfish Menu Hidden Under Everything in IE7 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,
First time Joomla / css user.

Im building a site using Ario Lite

Test site url: http://www.mystarbrite.com/startron

It works on mac FF and Safari fine, but in IE7 the suckerfish menu is hidden behind everything! (including content text, images and every module piece I have tried.)

Note that on front page (home) I am using a flash header that works in IE7 (wmode transparent) and not affected by this issue. To do this im using the "eval as php" param on mod_moslate and pulling in the flash as includes. But the issue in question is still happening on all other header images, modules and content etc..

Thanks
Justin

To make sure I had not changed something by accident. I installed another copy of joomla and loaded a clean Ariolite template. I installed the Joomworks Simple Image Rotator as the header and nested all menu items from joomla install under the HOME menu item to recreate the issue of the menu hiding behind content objects in IE7.

The same issue occured. http://mystarbrite.com/starbrite

I then tried both site using the ARIO (not lite) template and still same problem...

NEXT.. I tested another of your templates that uses suckerfish (absoluteflush) on both installations but I could not recreate the problem. (it worked fine in Mac FF and IE7..) But I wanted to use Ario Lite, not absoluteflush. Am I wasting my time? Thanks.

Chris. I have to move forward on this site which I guess means changing templates unless you have a fix. I am going to try working with another (probably redux) but I really liked Ario Lite for my product. If you want to look at it I can change it back to Ario Lite. Just let me know or do it yourself. The site is not live. Thanks Justin

I never figured it out. I just switched to Absolute Redux instead of messing with it.
