Read More button messed up.... 6 Months ago Karma: 0
OK, I am sure this is another one of my bonehead newbie errors but I can not figure out how to fix this.

The site is working wonderfully... then I decide to start using both fields for some longer articles... instead of just a Read More button to bring up the whole article it adds the article title as well.... and that winds up screwing up the whole formating of the page. Example attached. This screen capture was taken in FF 2.0.0.13 but also appears in IE 6.

Hi Carl,
Can you please post a link to your site so i can take a look? There is a width and height on the .readon class and it can be fixed by removing those and just using padding for the spacing..
Cheers,
Chris

The site is: Http://www.vintnerresources.com

I played with the setting you mentioned and have it looking better. My real question is: Is there a way to make it only say "Read More..." instead of "Read More... [article name]"?

You have helped me out with a couple other issues on this site. Thanks for all the great templates and support.

Hi Carl,
Having the target pages title in the read more link is not a normal joomla behavior, so it must be an extension that you have installed. That said, it is highly beneficial for SEO purposes, so i would recommend you keep it
Cheers,
Chris

Well... in that case... OK! Case closed.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
