Black background problem in IE6 4 Months ago Karma: 0
I recently purchased Ario Lite and have spent the last two weeks building my site at http://www.raptortail.com . Everything seems to work fine, except on IE6 where the white foreground in the main body of the page doesn't show up and you see the black background everywhere. After searching around in the forum, I found a small reference to a possible problem with SEF URLs turned on and sure-enough, when I turned them off, the template worked fine. I have attached a screen shot for a reference.

Has anyone seen this problem before in IE6 (not a problem in IE7 or Firefox). I tried the Absolute Flush template and didn't have this problem either. I'm sure its a stylesheet issue, but I don't know enough to be able to fix it. Any ideas?

Oops, I turned SEF back on a few days ago, but I've been out of town and forgot to let you know. You can check it out now at http://www.raptortail.com .

Hi Aryals,
I've had a look and if memory serves me correctly, you need to add teh full image path for it to work with sef turned on.

In your selected color css (wine.css) update the following to have the full url in the background image path:
Code:

#user3 { height:47px; text-align:left; background: transparent url(http://www.raptortail.com/cms/templates/ariolite/images/wine/user3.png) top left no-repeat; }
And then in template_css.css do the same with this one:
Code:

#shadow { background: transparent url(http://www.raptortail.com/cms/templates/ariolite/images/wine/shadow-spacer.png) repeat-y; }
That *should* fix it. Please let me know how you get on.. Thanks, Chris

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue for IE6. I even replaced ALL image paths with a fully qualified path just to be sure. Any other thoughts?

Does anyone have any other thoughts on this issue? I am scheduled to role out my new site soon and I would like to be able to use SEF URLs if possible. I am surprised no one else is seeing this problem in IE6.
