JoomlaJunkie - Joomla Template Provider Bringing color to the Joomla community

Hi everyone ,

I have a serious problem with the instant search engine in the top right barre of the template...
The thing is that it does not work properly in IE6 and IE7. I entered my name in it (witch doesn't appear in any article) or a bunch of letters, and all the articles of the site popped up. Actually it just works fine in FireFox but under IEs, it goes wild. (even tested it on your demo site and it does the same... just try different search with IE there and you will see for your self)

Is there a way to fix this?

[EDIT] I've checked the Absolute Flush & Absolute Redux templates on the DEMO site (that both have the instant search), and they work fine in IE. Could you please compare the scripts and post the corrections to make here for the Absolute template? Thanks.

Can you please confirm which joomla version you are using the template on? We decided to take it out of the 1.5 version, so if that is the version you are using it would explain why its not there ;0)

I'm not under Joomla 1.5... I run under Joomla 1.0.15 (The BEST! )

And I suppose that on your DEMO site you use a v1.0.x as well? Did you check it out with IE7 & IE6 over there? http://www.joomlajunkie.com/demo/index.php?template=absolute It doesn't work either. So it needs a little check under the hood I suppose... please let us know how to fix that issue. (I used "us" because unless its my computer that does that, the instant search on Absolute template doesn't for nobody under IE) Thanks mate!

Hey Denis,
I know the demo has it turned off because we were um-ing and ah-ing about whether to keep it in. That being said it should be working in the 1.0.x template download. I'll have a look, but in the mean time would you mind adding it to the bug tracker (and signup for notifications, so you are notified when a fix is available)..
