Hello,

I just purchased the "Absolute" template. I'm encountering problems with an installation ... and welcome help. (I'm a novice, yet have successfully installed some "free" templates in recent days, so I understand some basics). I've searched other tickets and didn't find anything that seems to relate to my inquiry. So here's what happens:

Installers - Template [Site] => browse/select "absolute.zip" => click "Upload & Install"

Result:
Upload template - Upload Error
Failed to move uploaded file to /media directory

media/ Writeable
administrator/templates/ Writeable
templates/ Writeable
images/stories/ Writeable

I've added just a few pics to the "Media Manager." There's no indication that the "media" file is set to block uploads / installs.

There are a few components which I've used on a demo template (experiments).

Any suggestions are welcome!

John

there is really no need to manually upload a template via ftp. Most likely he had a permissions issue, or did not unzip the template package first. If you are on Joomla 1.5 and setup the FTp install properly these problems are non-existent.
