Unanswered: superslider: images stacking up

What is your live site URL? (localhost if none): http://www.helpinghand.za.org/
What browser does this happen in: Firefox 3.x
What version of Joomla: Joomla 1.0
What OS? (your computer, not your server): Window
Joomla experience level: 2

Hi -
I am unable to figure out the reason for the images I load into superslider stacking up vertically and the slider not working.
Some jQuery issue/conflict but I don't know where to start looking to correct this.

Any leads...

Thanks.

Carl

Hi Carlymyman/Carl

Both the template and the slider use jQuery for their special effects. If jQuery loads 2 times there sometimes are issues. Can you disable jQuery in the SuperSlider and see if that fixes it?

Matt
Hi.

I just tried that but it didn't work.
I also tried it on a locahost site where I use the same template (zappa).

Any ideas off hand or would you need more actual info/details before being able to help?

Thanks.

Carl

Hmm, good work Carl. I recreated your problem locally and came to the same conclusion. Works fine in other templates, but there appears to be some sort of issue with Zappa.

I will submit this issue to the developers to look over and resolve. Thanks for pointing this out and we will have it fixed asap.

Hi Carl,

It looks like Joomla's system mootools is conflicting with the superslider. I have setup a local install but would be easier if I had access to your install as Im not getting quite the same thing. Please can you PM me with login and ftp details and I will try fix this up for you.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi,

Please let me know the url to your site and we'll take a closer look. :)

Also, take a look at this forum post and see if that solution sorts it out for you: Images stacking then going back to normal

Thanks,
Tess

In a nutshell, it is typically too many versions of javascript being used.

Tess is spot on though, we need to see a site to learn what your issue is. This is not a bug per se, but a possible conflict on your specific build.
