Unanswered: Super Slider Shading

What is your live site URL? (localhost if none): www.therocnation.org
What browser does this happen in: IE 6
What version of Joomla: Joomla 1.5
What OS? (your computer, not your server): Window , Mac
Joomla experience level: 8

I see that on the example (Joomla Junkie Template Showcase) the super slider module has shading on the left and right of the image.

I cannot get my site to show this type of shading on either side.

How would I go about getting this to shade?

This effect was done in the image editing stage, not from the Slider module. You can see this by viewing the image itself.

Click the image to open in full size.
