Answered: Images on top of each other...layered down out of module...

Hi,

Am excited to get this slider up and running, but I can't seem to make it work...

please check the url link...the slider is not working...images just standing on top of eachother outside of the module.

Tried taking on and off jquery...doesn't work...not sure what to do.

Look forward to the help.

Thanks,
mark

Hi,

You have a couple of scripts running on this page and It looks like the problems are being caused as they are conflicting somehow. First thing to do is disable any other modules (besides the header) that use javascript of any sort.

I also see that you have the prototype and flickr javascript loading, in Tatami, turn off "use flickr module", this may actually solve all of the problems, including the first with the superslider.

Let me know how this goes.

Cheers,

Andy

Also try turning GZIP compression off in your global configuration

Hey Waseem,

I'm going to try FP Slideshow...as seen that you're website uses it...

But now am having issues with that also - loading icon keeps going and going...

Does that say anything?

Andy,

You're brilliant! That's awesome thanks a bunch...it was the Use Flickr that was the issue...I would never have figured that out...

I think I like the look of the superslider better, by the way.

Cool fact - my parents have been in SouthAfrica for the last couple of weeks and are there till March - they're having a wonderul time - they loved Kruger Park.

Thanks again.

mark.

Another Question for you, Andy...

How do I get ride of the margins or padding in the User1 (what is is called, a location, module location?) where the FrontPage Slideshow is?

I don't want to have the space between the FPSS and the User1.

Thanks!
mark.

Hey Mark,

Im glad I could help!

as for the other question, this is because all modules have padding and this is adopting it. What you can do is to add a suffix of " nopadding" (notice the space in front of the "nopadding" text this must be included) to the module and then add this css somewhere.

css Code:
  1. #topbox .moduletable.nopadding {
  2. padding: 0;
  3. }

That should sort you out, but you will need to make the slider wider as well though to accomodate the new width.

Kruger Park is very cool!! Im glad your family are enjoying themselves :)

Cheers,

Andy

Great - that sorts things out - however, there is still a gap at the top...is there something that would take that gap away?
