Hi,

I dont understand how your solution can work and provide the transparency you re looking for.... the image that was always there is already a transparent png. What you have done is to set another transparent png but IE6 does not support it natively, hence the original problem will still exist. This is why the code that is in there is supposed to work, calling the "iepngfix.htc" because what this does is check the normal css for this class and use it in conjunction with the pngfix to make it transparent.... this is why the iepngfix.htc is needed instead, but does not work with absolute and relatively positioned div's

For this reason, I cant see that you have transparency working, but perhaps a lighter image due to the way it renders, the same effect will be gotten if you used a lighter color of #666 for example.

Im curious to see what this looks like on your side, Im assuming the image the way you did is going to render a the transparent image with not actual transparency but rather what looks like a solid color. If this is the case, you may as well remove that line from the file completely and let is use the normal css fo the transparent bar and it will do the same thing.

I say this because if you look in the css for the slider option you will find the css to call the navbar image....the pngfix code we have been referencing is extra and is there solely for the intention to force it to be transparent in all browsers as well. You will notice its transparent in al browsers but IE6... hence the need for this.

This is the css (for all browsers) that adds the navbar image (for the slick slider)

Code:
div.slider-navbar_mod$moduleId  {
	padding: 10px 15px 10px 55px;
	font-family: Arial;
	color: #fff;
	font-size: 24px;
	background: url($mod_img_path/grad_bg.png) repeat-x;
    position: absolute;
    bottom: 0px; left:0;
    width:$navbar;
    height:40px;
}
Now without this line...
HTML Code:
div.slider-navbar_mod' . $moduleId . ' { behavior: url(modules/mod_jj_superslider/superslider/iepngfix.htc);}
The slider will use the original css only, but this line overrides it telling it to use the fix instead for IE6...

Here is some info about the fix we are using and the limitations in IE6

I hope this provides some more insight and a way forward for you. I know the JW modules very well, we actually use one of them on the JJ home page. That said, the SIR does not provide links the way the SS mod does with the caption etc, you will be better off looking at the FPSS component and module from JW as its more flexible.

All the best,

Andrew
