| Answered: Yet another error with SuperSllider
I have actually subscribed to the developer offer because i was impressed with two templates, and the SuperSlider. Great looking template. The documentation though leaves a lot to be desired compared with other vendors. Anyway, please help me with figuring out with this error... urgently, i need the site to be up before the start of 2009. click on the this link and tell me where I went wrong. http://www.balfaqih.com//files/temp/...ider_error.jpg I am using Joomla 1.58, on WAMPserver 2.0f on my notebook. Firefox 3.04. i have only installed this module. No other template other the Mocha. Just to add, all the images are the same size, on the first and the fourth appear. The fourth appear slightly lower. The error on the the link below is on the third when I navigate to the the third slide http://www.balfaqih.com//files/temp/...der_error2.jpg All together there are 6 slides.. I have read every post in this forum looking for any thing that could help me.. to avail. Thank and I appreciate your help.. and happy holidays.. Ahmed |

Ahmed, The module can be located in any position, but in the demo we have used the user1 position (which is always the best for an header). I have sent you a modified copy of the slider module via email. Do give it a try on your demo site when you get the opportunity and report back on the forums if it improves on anything. Best, Zahir Mirza EDIT: Sorry about the previous message, i somehow missed the rest of the code that you had posted. I only saw the first post and not the rest of the code. I can now see all the code that you pasted. |

Ahmed, Welcome to JoomlaJunkie! Im actually busy creating an update to this module with some suggestions that we have received, and will be releasing the update shortly. Ahmed, Since you are working on your local computer, I would need a screenshot of your module backend settings to be able to determine what may have gone wrong / missing so i may be able to diagnose the problem a little better. The extension seems to be working fine for a lot of people - which is also why you have read every post in this forum and not found an answer to your question :) If you could email me a screenshot of your settings, id be happy to go through the issues you are experiencing with this module. You can send it to zahir at joomlajunkie.com Best, Zahir |

Out of curiosity did you send Zahir the screenshot he requested? He is the lead on this module so he is best suited to answer this question. You can very easily post screenshots to this forum now using the attachment feature. Matter of fact can you do that so we can all look and see if we notice anything awry. |

Yes I did send him. I was pleasantly surprise when he requested the screen shots. Then I became disappointed as it has been few days since I sent him the screen-shots and I got no reply. . Anyway here are the images... I would very much appreciate if someone could help. I only have few days left before I publish the site. |

Ahmed, I replied to your email with a request for more info on the 21st of December - im assuming you have not received this so i resent it and also posted it below for convenience. Im requesting for more information to find out what may be wrong since i cannot view your site. I would be in a much better position to help if i have that info on hand. I think it would be better if we were to resume on the discussion here on new forum as its a little more transparent and also allows others to chip into the discussion.

1. Are all your images are located in the correct directory? /images/stories/slideshow/newtek/vt yes.. 2. Are the filenames are vt_01.jpg ... vt_06.jpg in the above directory? ... 3. Which images do appear and which ones do not appear in the module? 2,3,4, 6 do not appear. 4. How does the slider behave (does clicking on the next/prev buttons change slides?) yes, next and prev works. 5. Is the rest of the content below the slider module loaded as normal? yes, and nice. 6. Could you save and attach a copy of the rendered html page where the module is published (just save it from your browser: File --> Save Page as... ) so i may see what the module code has rendered. (this would be very helpful!) Will do that when I get home.. Last edited by MrClick; 12-24-2008 at 03:34 PM. |

Great, so we are back in action. I think that the html will help in identifying where the problem lies - i cant see any thing out of the ordinary with your settings that you uploaded. Just paste / attach it to this post when you get an opportunity.
