Unanswered: Couple of issues with Simplecontact

What is your live site URL? (localhost if none): http://cornucopiatattoo.co.uk
What version of Joomla: Joomla 1.5
What OS? (your computer, not your server): Window
Joomla experience level: 6

Right I recently had the simplecontact module working absolutely fine, however there were 2 contacts in the contact area, one was a sample data contact which I removed and the other was a working as intended, until I removed the extraneous contact.
Now whenever you click "Make an enquiry" previously "say hello" or something along those lines you get a message saying

Request unsuccessful: Contact not found

The second issue which I will probably be able to find the answer to on my own after this is fixed is that when the contact box was working properly it had that little latin blurb before the fields. I was just wondering where I would go to edit that text as I spent a couple of hours searching a few weeks back and had given up, but I haven't looked since.

Hey Brbwithflag,
Have you updated the SimpleContact module with the new contacts id? By default this is set to use the sample one (which is usually the one you just change), so this probably just needs to be updated :)

The latin placeholder text is set via the Contacts page in the admin, in the Miscellaneous Info field.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Chris

hi yeah it's not that the contact module is using the same ID number and I've tried creating a duplicate contact and using the ID for that one and still no luck request is always greeted with the same error.
Thanks for getting back to me though sorry for the delay

Hey :) No probs about the delay ;) Can you setup a temporary super admin account on your site so i can take a look? It'll be easier to figure out the cause of the issue if i can actually check all the settings and module myself.

Thanks,
Chris
