| Answered: How can I change the address format in Simple Contact module? What is your live site URL? (localhost if none):
localhost
What version of Joomla:
Joomla 1.5
Joomla experience level:
5
The address formatting in the Simple Contact module after installation is the same as in the regular Joomla contact component. Unfortunately this is not the correct formatting for addresses at least not in most of Europe. I need to get the zip code on the same line as the city – how can I do that? I am sure it is actually a simple modification I have done it on many Joomla websites with the standard contact component but I can't find the right place in the files for this module. TIA Clemens |

| Actually we never even considered formatting such as how you are describing. Each item is one line. This way there is no chance of style issues. Say for example if somebody lives in Kalamazooooooo and they add the zip code or country in it will not fit in the module position on one line. |

I guess that's unfortunate for me :-) What actually bothers me about the current formatting is that my lines are too short and I don't like the empty space that leaves, so putting the zip code and the city in one line would make sense in regard to postal regulations as well as in regard to the design. But obviously that differs from user to user. Thanks for the answer though. I guess I'll have to live with it :-) |
