| Answered: Wrapper functionality
Hi Not really a question regarding Morph etc. I initially used Joomla because it had the wrapper functionality that enabled me to embed the result of a utility price request within one of our pages. The results come from an external price comparison site and it works OK. Apart from that the site is not that complicated. I wanted to add some blogging functionality and have been advised to use Wordpress to re-write the site. For those with Wordpress experience can similar functionality (wrapper), i.e the embedding of search results be done using Wordpress? The price comparison site can not export the data, merely display it on a page. Any help greatly appreciated. |

Hi Steve, After some Googling and reading, I'm coming up pretty much blank on thist topic. The closest thing I could see that would maybe work is WordPress › Embed Iframe WordPress Plugins Maybe a search for 'wordpress iframe' can come up with some useful results. :) Cheers, Tess |

Oh, you just brought up my favorite topic: wordpress and joomla! ;) It's maybe not exactly what you are asking about, but I warmly recommend you to use Wordpress for Joomla by corePHP: WordPress for Joomla! | Wordpress It gives you a whole new level of integration, something that is not possible if you set up a separate wordpress install just for your blog. I unfortunately don't know if you can display something similar to a wrapper in Wordpress, but I imagine it would be possible. Sorry I can't be of more help there... Cheers, Tess |

Tess Thanks for that. Given I am struggling with the day job and managing a Joomla web site, part of the attraction of Wordpress was I have been told that it is simpler to use. So learning Joomla and Wordpress would be an ask. When I stop to think about why I was using Joomla, I remembered that it was the wrapper functionality that solved a particular need and for our main company site this remains the case. If anyone knows if you can do it in Wordpress I would be grateful. Steve |
