Hello I design sites for people but I always set the customer up so they can fully control the site them selves. So they have their own hosting, they control their own domain and they will have their own template purchase with your selves. This way I just charge for my time plus these expenses. What I would like to do is have a subscription with you guys so I can demo the sites either on a local host or sub domain to the clients and then when they are happy I will purchase the template in their name and set them up with their own account. My question is what membership do I need as no site will be live/in use with the template I will be using. So do all I need is a personal 1 domain membership? But what are the restrictions of this as if I have two projects on the go at a time I could be using 2 different templates on 2 local hosts so will my system catch fire as the smoke engraves on the wall \"we only allow I usage!!\" Or is the fact that I am developing sites for other people mean I need a developer license even though they will buy their own license once they are happy with the site. I guess what I am getting at is it just a licensing issue in which case you are taking my word for it or does the template once online feedback to you and possibly interfere with the custom made sites I develop? Thanks Steve |

If you are providing the template as part of a package with a website for a customer, then you need a developer license. If the customer is purchasing the template from us and you are doing the customizations, then you dont need to purchase the developer license. That said however, it is surely more beneficial for you to tell your customers they can use any template of their choice and not have to pay......which you can do with the dev license. I hope this clears things up, |

Hi Steve. Your best bet is to get a Dev license as it grants you unlimited control. If you only use 3 of our templates in the next year that expense will paid for. We release 1 template a month and have recently started pushing towards 2. There is not a template company out there with rates as reasonable as ours with that many releases. Also, if you have more then three clients in a year you can still bill them and keep that cash for your pocket since you already have a dev license. Hope that helps. |

I like to bill them seperatly though and have them have their own account/purchase as it will then enable them to support from you guys. Never used any of yours before just RT and JA. They are just so much easier then creating something from scratch. So if I am not using the templates live I can just get a personal membership to demonstrate to clients? and that will give me no restrictions? |
