| Answered: Joomla 1.5 Templates
Have you any plans to make j.15 templates. I tried absolute flush on a test J1.5RC4 site in legacy mode and it wasn\'t great. A few modules out of place etc. Are you gonna start making native Joomla 1.5 templates ? if so - when/how long to wait ? many thanks |

I just purchased Ario Lite. I have it up and working in Legacy mode on 1.5 Stable. Before I go down too many paths what are the issues I\'m going to face in getting it to work on 1.5? Is there anything I should know? Should I wait for your 1.5 version? Thanks Chris |

Hi Ger, Yes we will be converting all of our templates to 1.5. We are working on 2 new template releases at present, as well as mapping out some updates to our existing templates and making them 1.5 native will start early next month.. Regarding Flush on 1.5, there are a couple of changes in order to get it to display correct in 1.5, which we have done. You can download the zip attached to this post and replace the files with the new ones and you should then see the difference.. Cheers, Chris |

I have been using Supremacy Template now for some time on J1.X and on the whole its been great :) Would like to move to J1.5.1 Stable but have noticed weird behaviour when in legacy mode. Module positions, background colours, text overwriting etc... pretty much illegible! Do you have file mods to allow it to run in legacy mode? What is your timeline for a J1.5.x upgrade version? Thanks for your great work. Darren |

Hi Chris, We are actually releasing the native versions of Ario and Ario Lite this week ;) There is just one last cosmetic tweak we are working on :) If you plan on using the template on 1.5, then i would recommend hanging in there for a couple of days.. Cheers, Chris |

Hi Chris, Thanks :) The website (J1.x) is http://www.koteon.co.nz You are still registered on the site from 30/01/2007 when you sorted a problem for us back then. Cheers, Darren |

Hi Darren, I had a look at your site and the only issues i was able to notice off hand was the pathway not displaying properly and the shelf not closing (which looks like its attributed to a javascript conflict of sorts). Fixing the pathway is pretty simple and you can see my instructions on doing so here: http://www.joomlajunkie.com/members-...ute-flush.html The shelf issue, i would just remove the option completely, as its pointless having it in there when its not working. All that said, may i ask why you are wanting to move over to 1.5 when most of the components you are running require legacy mode turned on? Theres that old saying, if it aint broke, dont fix it ;) We see everyone jumping on the 1.5 bandwagon, when in all honesty its not actually ready for production. Yes it is now \"officially\" stable, but it is still the new kid on the block and has not being tested enough in a production environment. 1.0.x has years worth of solid testing and bug fixing and though its not perfect, i truly believe its the better option until 1.5 is tested more vigorously and all the major components are running natively. I am working on a 1.5 site for my dad and i decided to go the 1.5 route because it was a new site and doesn\'t require anything more than a couple of content pages and contact form. If he needed some other functionality or components, i would probably have gone with 1.0.x instead.. Just my 5 cents though ;) Cheers, Chris |
