| Upload image problem
I'm not sure if this a Snappa problem or whether it is me and my machine as I am a complete newbie with Joomla (I am working on my first site). I don't seem to be able to upload an image in the wysiwig editor. The pop up box that appears will let me choose and upload an image from the default folders that appear but if I browse for an image on my machine and then click upload, nothing happens. This is with Safari. If I do the same with Firefox, I still have a problem but instead of nothing happening, I get an error message that it can't connect to the web and to try again . Any help would be much appreciated. Ta :) |

This really could be any number of a hundred things Pale. The chances of it being Snappa related are pretty far fetched though and easily testable by turning on a default template and retesting. -Check permissions on your webhost to make sure the folder you are uploading to has write permissions. -Make sure you are not trying to upload a giant image that is too big, say bigger then a 1-2 mb. the best way is to upload your images via (S)FTP and use basic html to place them. WYSIWYG editors will give you more headaches then they are worth in the long run. |

Thank you for your quick response. Yes you are right, definitely nothing to do with Snappa, as I have the same problem with another template. I can get around it for now by moving the image I want to upload into the folder specified in the site global config and I will bear in mind your comment about using html for images for the future. Cheers. |
