New Module DB error - anyone have a suggested fix?

Hi All,
I finally got my Rational Magic CSS bug fixed but now i can\'t seem to create any modules.

When i go to Module Manager & select New Module, i get the first screen with the list of modules to choose from (thats ok) but when i click next to configure the module i get the following error:

\"DB function reports no errors\"

I checked the permissions on the files / folder and all was fine.
I re-installed the modules folder but problem is still there.

I recently installed the 1.5.8 update of joomla - could that be the problem?
Should i do a clean install of 1.5.7?

I asked on the Joomla.org forum but haven\'t recieved any replies so i thought i would try you guys.

thanks!

Templates cant really affect the backend operations generally. I would roll back to a backup of your 1.5.7 install real quick and verify the update didn\'t cause a problem.

hi there ask your hosting providor to do a repair query on all of your tables or the affected table the error is on.

if you are the host - download phpmyadmin > upload it to the root of your ftp > follow their set-up instruction > log in -> select all your tables and at the bottom there will be a drop down list -> set it to repair !

Your host most likely has phpmyadmin installed for you. It\'s pretty rare they dont. It should be in your webhost control panel somewhere.
