Re:click on link & does not display text full screen

no, the \'Latest Papers\', \'Latest Forum Posts\', and \'Latest Blog Entries\' should ~not~ be on ~every~ page.

On the home page, the items in the center column (\'Latest Papers\', \'Latest Forum Posts\', \'Latest Blog Entries\', the new graphic application at top of center section) and any new items I place on the home page center column should ~only~ appear when:

A. a user goes to the main URL/domain for the site
B. clicks the top menu \"Home\" button
C. clicks the left left \"Home\" button

When a user clicks on an article listed under the \"Latest Papers\" section (mod_latestnews) at the center of the home page,
the result should be a top-to-bottom display of the article. The same result should be true when someone clicks on an item listed under
\"Popular Papers\" (mod_mostread), an item listed under \"News Digest\" (mod_minifrontpage) etc.. the problem effects all of the modules as it relates to the home page.

As it stands today the Papers button, when clicked, correctly displays a full page listing of papers, Forums button, when clicked, correctly displays a full page forum, the Blogs button, when clicked, correctly displays a full page list of blog entries.

Re:click on link & does not display text full screen

Ok... i\'m getting sloppy (tired I guess).. the modules that you indicated, at least one of them, fixes the main problem... I loaded the module from the referred web page \"mod_em_latestnews\" which allows forced ItemID\'s. I forced \"111\" or whatever and the articles no longer inheret the item ID from the Home page (default) button.

Thanks! A HUGE BUNCH..

So does that mean it is working now? :) and that it was an itemid problem supposedly fixed in Joomla 1.5?

Re:click on link & does not display text full screen

Yep, what I see appears to be an ItemID problem in 1.5.7 (fresh install). I loaded the updated modules that allow forcing an ItemID # and the problem was resolved. One of the modules however didn\'t work and I need to troubleshoot.

Unfortunately I feel I did not prove without a doubt that it is not an Ario template issue - I did not re-test/re-install with a standard Joomla 1.5 template. I loaded a new copy of \"Ario Lite\" which revealed the \"ItemID\" problem described above.

Thanks for all your effort on this. You are a tremendous help!

Re:click on link & does not display text full screen

I dont see how this can be the template.... look in the index.php, there is not much in there other than template tags and xhtml, it does not do much other than place items... What we are looking at here is the actual link url\'s and content and modules.... this is all Joomla stuff!!

The easiest way to test is just apply another one of the templates to the site for a few minutes.

Cheers,

Andy

Agreed 100%. I have to get a fresh load of an original template just to say that i did test it, but will have to do this later.
