heres a quick example

Section A
>>car hire
>>health

Section B
>>car hire
>>health

Section C
>>car hire
>>health

1 function would be to list everything under A
another function i must perform is to list everything to do with Car Hire
however tehre are 3 categories of car hire and i need to list the items from all of them. . .
any solutions ?

if i try reversing it and doing
Section car hire
>>A
>>B
>>C
Section Health
>>A
>>B
>>C

i unfortunately end up with the same problem . . .

my one solution was to create
Category A
Category B
Category C
Category Car Hire
Category Health
and duplicate articles where needed, but this will end up showing duplicated results in a serch function

would be cool if i could enter select statements into menu items ;)

hi,

well, i think you need a component wich can sort item by category ID and/or section ID.
i think there are a few component to match your needs but the only one i use is alphacontent from http://www.alphaplug.com.

You install it and set the general configuration in the component, then you create a link to the component and set the option in the link parameters. You can chose several category and/or section separate by \",\" and choose to display or not the alphabetic bar.

Several website use it on their homepage

the last release had few issue but their forum is usefull and the component often released.
