Hi

I have a minor issues where my Virtuemart Lightbox has stopped working after Rational Magic template installation.

Has anyone come across a similar issue?

Hi Dave,

I have to say its nearly impossible to help you with anything if we dont have a live site to look at. Is there any way you can get a live site up so we can assist you better.

This also sounds like a javascript issue, what lightbox are you using, I am assuming its being caused because RM already calls in jquery and your ligthbox is calling it in again if you are using a jquery lightbox. If not them I suggest you try that route...

OK, so I assume you mean the product flypage.... I see a javascript error on the page and it seems some scripts on your page are conflicting, my thinking its the lightbox anf joomla\'s javascript.

This is the same error I see

With RM the menu that uses jquery is set to not interfere with other js so its unlikely that it is this, however lets make sure... if you set the menu type in parameters to module and then load the page again, the jquery will not load as its only for the menu effect. If the lightbox still does not work, then its as suspected above...

Hi Andy,
I just came across this board after 3 days of excruciating faffing around in Virtuemart. I am also trying to use RM as the template for a Virtuemart Shop. I think the text layout in RM - kerning and leading - are really outstanding - so I was hoping to use it as my template. However - I am also having the same issues as Andy. I was REALLY happy to see the answer for the Add to Cart popup problem solved in earlier Andy Questions - that one really had me pulling my hair out.
But I now am stuck on this lightbox issue too.
I am afraid I do not have a live server as I am using localhost and WAMP - so i can\'t give you a URL. But I checked re. your suggestion of setting the menu type to module - and indeed the Lightbox still fails to initialise. If you click on the thumbnail it does the old fashioned popup window.
SO - there must be a conflict in the javascript somewhere. I am using the latest VM ecommerce bundle: VirtueMart_1.1.2_eCommerce_Bundle_Joomla_1.5.7.tar and the 1.5 RM template.

If I switch back to the deafult JA Purity template - the lightbox works correctly. I don\'t know if you can help me any further with suggestons - I am afraid I am not a developer - so coding is my strong point. Any pointers would be most appreciated.

I am using virtuemart1.1 with joomla1.5, it is working fine in localhost but when i uploaded in client server the VM lightbox is not working.

That\'s not our template deepsingh. We would only be taking guesses. You should talk to the developer of the template and VM for a faster and more educated response.

Are you using any additionla plugins, modules, anything other then that VM bundle and RM markov?

Andy is pretty spot on with what he explained.

I addedd an extra module called Magic Thumb http://www.magictoolbox.com/magicthumb_joomla/that replaces the standard Virtuemart Lightbox. It works great.

It costs a few pounds, but is free to try and their support team are great - just like here at JoomlaJunkie.
