| Update on Morph’s JomSocial integration
We recently had a discussion on the JoomlaJunkie forums, about Creativa’s schedule for integrating with 3rd party extensions. Based on the feedback we received, we decided last week to step up our original plan for the JomSocial integration (since Creativa is a Community style themelet after all). I’ve been doing extensive digging, probing and studying of [...] Read more... |

Hey Enrico, Are you referring to the previous Morph/Jomsocial template (which was discontinued, due to the new template taking its place), or the "official" one that will later be included in the core? The new template was never going to be included in 1.8. Azrul decided a long time ago that it would be released after 1.8. As i've explained many times, i am juggling the development in between managing Morphs entire development and providing daily support - i wish it was going faster, but unfortunately its just not possible. As it stands, i'm working on the photos and videos layouts. Once those are done, it'll be another round of optimization and cross browser fixes after which point i'll be implementing the new template into 1.8. The first beta will be released to select number of Jomsocial customers. Once its deemed stable, it will be made available to all Jomsocial customers via Azrul's site. Cheers, Chris |

Thanks for the clarification, Chris. :) I thought there would have been 2 versions of the jomsocial template, one 'standard' version (bundled in jomsocial) and one only for joomlajunkie's customers with some addons. |

Hey Enrico, Once the new template is done, we'll definitely branch a separate Morph version, which will take advantage of all the built in functions of Morph, but until that's ready, the new Jomsocial one will definitely suffice and will make creating your own custom look soooo much easier. Hope that clarifies a bit further :) Cheers, Chris |

Hi Chris, since the new jomsocial template you're working on will be released with the next version of Jomsocial; I'm wondering if you've "morphized" the standard jomsocial template to use it with current themelets/JS 1.8. Or at least a beta release of your jomsocial theme? Thanks. |

Hey Enrico, There was the default Jomsocial template that i was first working on before i started the new one. I've attached it to this post, so you're welcome to give that a try and see if it works for you. Its of the similar minimalistic design as the new one. I'm not sure if you're following my updates on twitter, but last week i finish the validation and cross browser testing on mac browsers and this week i'll be working on the windows cross browser fixes and performance tweaks (packing the css / js, etc). Cheers, Chris |

Hey Enrico, This sounds similar to the issue that we had with one of the recent Joomla updates, but i'll have to ask Azrul and his team for their input on why you're getting that message. I'll report back once i know more :) Cheers, Chris |
