New generic quick installer for Morph now available

The quick installer is a combination of the latest version of Joomla, a number of pre-installed and configured extensions that we have tried and tested to be useful time savers, along with well structured dummy content and menu items.See it all in action on the new Vanilla themelet demoOur aim with the generic quick installer [...]Related posts:

Hi Tess,

I'm in! Just did the quick installer. I noticed that I still need to install the Configurator. That surprised me, why not include it, as members will want that anyway?

On my way to the install files... :)

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Good question. ;)
Since we're releasing constant updates to the Morph framework and Configurator we're keeping it separate, this way avoiding the extra time it takes to update the quick installer every time a new version comes out.

Cheers,
Tess

Hey Tom,

I see your point here, but also Configurator is the installer as well as the component so it would be more confusing to try and explain how to install and setup the Morph template and the themelet after CFG is installed (with sample content) than letting them just run through the 3 step install process which does a lot more in the background as well like checking and enabling g-zip and making a roll back state (backup) for reverting if needed etc.
