| Known issues Here is a list of the known issues in Morph. We will update this thread as anything else is discovered. Configurator's color picker We have made a bunch of improvements to the original color picker plugin we are using, but its still far from where we want it to be. We will continue to improve the usability of the picker over the next couple of weeks. Installing Configurator on Wamp During the first round of beta, we had a couple of testers report that they had issues when installing Configurator on Windows based Wamp servers. The result was incredibly long loading times and occasionally not loading any styling whatsoever. This can easily be fixed by using 127.0.0.1 in place of localhost in your url. For example, from this: http://localhost/morph/administrator/index.php?option=com_configurator&task=manage To this: http://127.0.0.1/morph/administrator/index.php?option=com_configurator&task=manage Cross browser issues We are aware that there are a bunch of cross browser issues in both Configurator and the frontend of Morph. We will be getting through these with each new release. Performance We are committed to getting both Morph and Configurator to be as optimized as humanly possible. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done, but we are improving performance wherever possible, with the aim to have the stable releases nice and zippy :) Things we are still working on

| Corrupted Firefox Profiles Today, during our testing phase just before releasing, we came across a very interesting and very serious issue whilst installing the Configurator component. This error only pertains to users of Firefox and most times will not happen to you. The error: You receive an error box when installing the Morph Template via Configurator's installer, saying that your template file is not a valid package, when in fact it is. The problem: Firefox has an "intelligent" mime-type handler, which assign's different mime-types to files that you download/upload. Firefox will take preference on the mime-type highest on the list for any specific file type. i.e. If you had downloaded a zip file from a provider, who specified the mime-type as application/zip and then downloaded from another, who specified it as application/binary - Firefox would store both of these values for ZIP files. And choose the one closest to the top for uploads. This is where the problem comes in. Without going into too much detail - this will cause the installer to fail, as we have coded very strict requirements into the installer, only allowing files to be uploaded that match the correct zip mime-type. This prevents any dirty/dangerous files from being uploaded. In our case both "application/empty" and "application/binary" were the preferred mime-types for uploading ZIP files and these are not in the white list for the installer. But never fear, there is a fix :) The Fix: 1) Download the plugin (mime_edit-0.600901070000.xpi) listed on this website - It's in Japanese, but we took the liberty of translating it for you ;) Firefox3.0????? Mime Edit ??? - alice0775???????? - Yahoo!??????? 2) Install the plugin 3) Remove the "funky" mime-types. Namely: application/binary or application/empty, the ones you want to keep are: application/zip or application/x-zip-compressed. Alternatively, you can edit your Firefox profile's mimeTypes.rdf file. For more info on this problem and how to edit the profile file, please see the following links: |
