| Images stacking then going back to normal

When our webpage loads on the screen the three images that I have loaded in the slider appear stacked vertically for half a second. This happens every time I refresh the page in IE 8 and from time to time in Firefox and Chrome. It only last for half a second but that's half a second to long for some people.
Any idea how I could make this never happen?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
