A few people have been asking on the forums when the updates that we had mentioned for Rational Magic will be available. One area that we have been discussing alot here at JoomlaJunkie HQ is how to have more transparency on what we are working on. Often it will seem as though we are quiet and inactive, when in actual fact we are all working furiously a whole number of different updates, etc. One really good suggestion from Tess (our soon to be social marketing / search engine marketing queen) is to use Twitter as a way to provide up to the minute updates on what the team is working on. Another suggestion was to have a weekly blog post at the beginning of the week, saying what where the areas that we would be focusing on for that week.

Rational Magic updates

Since launching Rational Magic we have found a few small bugs and one more problematic issue with the new menu system that was introduced. We will be releasing an update this week that addresses the issues below. If you are aware of any other issues that are not listed, please add a post on the Rational Magic sub-board on the forum.

Aurora 1.5 update

This one is a bit tricky, since i have been trying to get this finished for a couple of weeks now, but there have been a number of issues that have cropped up in the 1.5 version of the template , the menu system and Tatami's 1.5 native version. I have been working with Daniel and his team over at Ninjoomla to get all of these issues resolved and i am hoping that god willing we will have this done and available this week.

Updating all our extensions to Joomla 1.5

I managed to update the simple ticker to Joomla 1.5 last week and will be updating the rest of our extensions to have 1.5 native versions this week.

Snappa 1.5 update

The 1.5 version of Snappa is essentially completed, but we have passed it on to Matt to do some further stress testing to make sure that there are no issues before we release it. I know Andrew has a pretty comprehensive blog post in the works that covers all the Snappa updates. Keep an eye out for his post..

Upgrading our server to a bigger VPS

You may have noticed we have been experiencing a bunch of memory timeout issues on our server over the past couple of weeks and this has been extremely frustrating for all of us and especially Matt . After loads of tweaking and fine tuning and still no avail, we have realized that the current server just isn't able to handle the current load. The good news is we will be upgrading to bigger server, so that should eliminate the annoying sql errors!
