We have had some really good feedback since Aurora launched, but there were still a couple of things that we bugging us and being the perfectionists that we are, we couldn't resist revamping the code to make it even better! Not only have we added gzip compression to the templates core css and javascript files, but also added the css / js combining to have fewer http requests, thus improving the templates performance.

Ario gets updated to make it play better with Joomla 1.5 in legacy mode

Some people reported problems with Ario not working in Joomla 1.5 when the legacy mambot is published. Most reports were of a blank white screen (although this is probably only because error reporting in php is turned off) If error reporting is turned on an error will show refering to the legacy mambot. This has now been fixed and a new version of the template can be downloaded from the club that will work as intended.

Since we first launched Aurora two weeks ago, we have had many emails and posts on the forums asking why there was not a native Joomla 1.5 version. The reason for this is really simple. Due to the extensive customization options, we decided to team up with the clever guys from Ninjoomla and base the template around their template configuration component, called Tatami. From day one this has been a match made in heaven and we are thrilled to be involved with the project.

Due to the ongoing popularity of Ario (lite and dark) and the large amount of requests that we have received for more colors, we have decided to update both the dark and lite versions to now have 12 different color options. These color options are a mix of both bright, vibrant colors as well as more earthy soft tone colors.
