New look for Joomla.org and Joomla 1.5.6 Released.

I was very excited this morning, to see that Joomla! has quietly started rolling out a sexy new design on Joomla.org. At present it seems to only be applied to some of the pages, but i am sure the rest of the sub sites will be updated soon enough. Personally, I think its a lot more professional and a really nice improvement :) What do you think?

Joomla.org is converting over to 1.5, are you?

Joomla.org is a huge site with thousands of users and multiple Joomla installs. It appears to be one install, but upon closer inspection of the code you will see that different sections are sometimes more then they appear. The main page which we all know and love is a current build of Joomla, but you might notice the forum is not really Joomla at all. It is HTML added to the header and footer of phpBB. Joomla shop? Joomla 1.5.2 Released

For those of you have aren't already aware, Joomla! 1.5.2 was released on Sunday. Its nice to see the dev team are set on releasing frequent updates to address outstanding issues. Though it is only a maintenance release, it still takes us one step closer to 1.6!
