A few people have been asking on the forums when the updates that we had mentioned for Rational Magic will be available. One area that we have been discussing alot here at JoomlaJunkie HQ is how to have more transparency on what we are working on. Often it will seem as though we are quiet and inactive, when in actual fact we are all working furiously a whole number of different updates, etc. One really good suggestion from Tess (our soon to be social marketing / search engine marketing queen) [...]

I was very excited this morning, to see that Joomla! has quietly started rolling out a sexy new design on Joomla.org. At present it seems to only be applied to some of the pages, but i am sure the rest of the sub sites will be updated soon enough. Personally, I think its a lot more professional and a really nice improvement :) What do you think?

I am embarrassed to say we are mentioning these Joomla updates so late. We have been really busy around here at JoomlaJunkie with all sorts of things on the frontend like templates and modules, as well as top secret backend stuff.

Since we first launched Aurora two weeks ago, we have had many emails and posts on the forums asking why there was not a native Joomla 1.5 version. The reason for this is really simple. Due to the extensive customization options, we decided to team up with the clever guys from Ninjoomla and base the template around their template configuration component, called Tatami. It appears to be one install, but upon closer inspection of the code you will see that different sections are sometimes more then they appear. Joomla 1.5, or Joomla 1.0? That's the question many people are asking... There's really no right or wrong version, but there's certainly some pros and cons to each.

1.5 has some killer backend ui upgrades. At first glance, 1.0 users find the 1.5 admin area to be a bit difficult to navigate, but become quickly acclimated. As well, the code structure of 1.5 give designers and developers a better environment to practice their trade.

Joomla 1.5.2 Released
